Our Mission
Agora Cosmica is a project of ChipMates gemeinnützige GmbH, a small German nonprofit based in Freiburg im Breisgau. We work to make wisdom from history accessible to everyone, freed from academic barriers, paywalls, and ads.
The platform brings together 30 remarkable people from philosophy, science, mysticism, art, and activism. It opens a doorway for anyone to begin their own journey with wisdom traditions.
About the Organization
ChipMates was founded as a GmbH in 2023 and received its gemeinnützige (charitable nonprofit) status in 2025. Registered with HRB 728848 at Amtsgericht Freiburg. Charitable purpose: advancement of education. The platform Agora Cosmica is available worldwide and open source under AGPL-3.0.

Every voice is grounded in primary works, historical context, and cross-checked sources. The Echoes are AI-rendered, so what they say will vary. The source material does not. When the prose extends beyond documented record, the factcheck names what is recreated.

Voice technology
German voice synthesis uses Qwen3-TTS as the primary engine, with F5-TTS by SWivid et al. (MIT code) as the overflow tier. The F5-TTS German fine-tuning is by hvoss-techfak (CC-BY-NC-4.0), trained on Mozilla Common Voice 19.0 (CC-BY-4.0) and the Emilia dataset. English voice synthesis uses Kokoro by hexgrad. Live transcription uses faster-whisper, a CTranslate2 port of OpenAI's Whisper, served via Speaches.
