Who is behind Agora Cosmica?

ChipMates started as a GmbH in 2023. In 2025 it was granted gemeinnützige status, the German term for a registered charity. It sits in the commercial register at Amtsgericht Freiburg under HRB 728848. The purpose on record is the advancement of education.

Nonprofit means we answer to that purpose and not to investors. No shareholders, no profit to hand out, just the work. Agora Cosmica is open to anyone, anywhere, and the code is open source under AGPL-3.0.

The ideas that help people most are often the hardest to reach. They sit in books nobody hands you, in courses that cost money, in sentences written for other scholars. We think that is the wrong way round. So we took 30 people from philosophy, science, faith, art, and activism, and made their thinking something you can talk through in your own words.
